Tom Napper is an exceptional musician. A skilful and sensitive interpreter of traditional folk music with an impressive repertoire, he plays the tenor banjo, mandolin, octave mandolin and tenor guitar with great flair, and is also a fine singer. A professional artist since 1979, he has played clubs, concerts and festivals throughout Britain, Europe and the USA, both solo and in bands,and has broadcast on radio and TV.
In addition to his own recordings he has made significant contributions to those of others.
His knowledge of traditional dance music, together with his powerful playing makes him much in demand as a session musician and dance band member.
Keen to pass on his knowledge, he is an able and enthusiastic tutor and music workshop leader.
